Try to catch a train!

When I was a backpacker, I started to travel from U.K. After finishing travelling in that country, I wanted to book a ticket from Belgium to Italy.  As I had Eurail pass, it was impossible to book any ticket in the U.K. That pass can only be used  on the European continent, so I just arrived in Belgium without having a ticket to Italy. When we arrived at the train station, every ticket to Rome was sold out. There was no way to get to Italy.
Suddenly a foreign tourist came to me and he sad that I could buy a little bit expensive ticket on the platform from the train manager. I was eager to meet the train manager and buy a ticket to Rome.
As soon as  the train arrived, I had to run with a huge bag on my back. Luckily, When I met the train manager, I could buy a couchette line ticket that was the only possible one. Until the train arrived in Rome, there are three more lucky guests. Two of them were Italian and another French.
We could not sleep the whole night. Though  we were came from different countries,  we had common things -we were all tourists and we are all young. We could share lots of good information  on  travelling and the  feelings about each country we had visited already.
In the morning, it  was time to say good bye to every one. I could feel everyone hesitated to say the words. So the French man suggested to have ceremony in friendly way.-un baiser. Actually it was not comfortable to me to exchange greetings in this way with foreigners, I was really happy to have a  chance to feel this special closeness.
Even though this happened a long time ago, I can remember the fresh  morning air of the train platform in Rome and the soft light touch of his chin on my chin until now.
